Only 3 more days until Christmas! Here is a simple idea for a treat to bake with the kids this week. These Easy Reindeer Cookies are fun to make.
I got the idea after making our Turkey Cookies last month. We had made a Reindeer Pretzel Treat last Christmas and thought this might be a fun way to create a cookie version.

Ingredients for Reindeer Cookies
Here is a list of ingredients you will need to make this simple treat. There are only five supplies involved!
- Refrigerated Cookie Dough
- Candy Eyeballs
- Reese’s Miniature Cups
- Pretzel Twists
- Small Red Candies
Before you begin, start by breaking some of the pretzels in half. These will not be perfect! Go ahead and let the kids help. We ended up using lots of different size pretzel pieces for our antlers.
How to Make Reindeer Cookies
Decide how large you want your cookies to be. I combine two cookie dough sections to make bigger cookies. If you want more cookies, just do the smaller dough sections.
Bake the cookies as directed on the package. This may vary based on which brand of cookie dough you purchase. If you decide to prepare your own cookie dough, don’t bake the cookies in advance. You will want the cookies to be warm when you add the remaining ingredients.
While the cookies are still hot, gently smash a Reese’s Miniature Cup into the center of the cookie. Then add the candy eyeballs and a Red M&M to complete the reindeer face. Next place two pretzel pieces into the cookie for the antlers. Super cute and easy!
Once the chocolate starts to melt, it can get a little messy but that keeps all the candy pieces in place. Let the cookies and chocolate cool completely before placing them together on a platter.
We had a lot of fun making these treats during the holidays along with two of my other favorite recipes. Buttery Almond Thumbprint Cookies are super delicious and I have been making these for years. A couple of years ago we made a Peanut Butter M&M Cookie Dough Fudge that is now on our annual list of treats as well!
