I have been seeing lots of fun Patriotic Mocktails on social media this summer! It is our turn to try a spin on this fun drink idea. Today I am sharing the drink we made last weekend for the 4th of July. This would be a fun idea for Labor Day Weekend too!

Patriotic Mocktail Ingredients

I found all of our supplies for this fun drink at Target. The ingredients we used can be found at most grocery stores. I will also provide links to order from Amazon below. We used Grenadine, Sprite, Blue Gatorade, Whipped Cream, and Gummy Bears (optional).

How to make a patriotic mocktail

I did not include measurements for this recipe. It really depends on what size cups you are using. You can make a very small drink for young kids or you could use a larger container. As my daughter would say, measure with your heart.

We used a couple of clear plastic tumblers I found a Target a few years ago. Disposable clear plastic cups would work great for this too.

The first ingredient to add to the cup is grenadine. Don’t over do it on this one! We just did a thin layer on the bottom of the grenadine. Then add ice to the cup.

Next pour Sprite over the ice. We used about 4 ounces in our drink. Then top off the cup with the Blue Gatorade. We used the Cool Blue flavor. Powerade would also work for this recipe.

Now for the fun part! Add a squirt of whipped cream. We used decorative patriotic straws I found at Target and then added a couple of patriotic gummy bears on top as well.

Fun Patriotic Mocktail for Kids

This is such a fun and refreshing drink to make for the 4th of July! The kids loved it of course. It is an easy drink to make because we have a lot of these ingredients on hand usually in the summer.

Be sure to check out our other Patriotic Crafts and Activities for more ideas! The Patriotic Popcorn Cake is another fun recipe to make with kids.
