We have had a lot of fun making Easter Baskets lately! An organization in our county put out a request for baskets for foster children a couple of weeks ago. Of course we wanted to help. Last week I shared a baby basket that we made. Today I thought I would share the Easter Basket Ideas for Preschoolers.

I always check out Dollar Tree when looking for Easter Basket Stuffers. They have a great selection of brand name candy during the Easter season.

Dollar Tree also has other items that would be great for Easter baskets. Sidewalk Chalk and Bubbles are always great for preschoolers. Here are some other ideas that would also be fun.

  • Sunglasses
  • Jump Rope
  • Balls
  • Water Toys
  • Coloring Books
  • Crayons
  • Markers (Glitter Markers are amazing!)
  • Kites
  • Stickers
  • Dress Up Accessories

You could even add more practical items to an Easter Basket. A lot of these items come in fun characters.

  • Toothbrush
  • Socks
  • Finger Paint Bath Soap
  • Fruit Snacks
  • Juice Boxes
  • Bath Sponges
  • Hair Accessories
  • Water Bottle (Fill with candy)
  • Cute Easter Cups

What to use as an Easter Basket?

You don’t have to use a traditional basket to create your Easter Baskets. I love using these plastic totes from Dollar Tree. They are great for organizing toys once the kids are done with them.

Easter Ribbon Basket

I also love how you can easily dress up these totes with ribbon. I used some Easter Ribbon that I had leftover from making a wreath. It looked really cute threaded through the spaces in the tote.

I hope these easy Easter Basket Ideas for Preschoolers are helpful! This is a great age to buy for! They really enjoy everything.

This basket was so simple to put together and the total cost was about ten dollars. You definitely want to shop early for best selection.
