We are all about the painting projects for our 4th of July theme! We’ve had a blast doing fireworks paintings, fidget spinner painting, and this super easy Patriotic Cookie Cutter Painting Craft. Cookie Cutter Painting is the perfect project for preschoolers. This can be done for any holiday just by changing out the cookie cutters.
You really only need two supplies for this simple painting project – Cookie Cutters & Paint! We found our cookie cutters at Michael’s for 50% off. Our cookie cutter set came with a star and a flag.
To begin, I squirted red and blue paint onto paper plates. Then I told the kids to dip the cookie cutters into the paint so they could use it on their paper.
Once they were done painting with the cookie cutters, they added a little glitter glue to their prints. This was a fun way to add some sparkle to their paintings!
The cookie cutters are perfect for little hands to paint with! This was our first time trying this project, but I am looking forward to doing it again for future holidays.
We are having a lot of fun with this week’s theme for our DIY Summer Camp {Camp Mom}! They kids are getting excited to celebrate the holiday this week by going to a parade, grilling hot dogs, hanging out at the pool, and watching fireworks. What are your favorite 4th of July activities?
