For Week 27 of the 52 Weeks of Pinterest Challenge, I am sharing a quick and easy patriotic craft for 4th of July! I was inspired to try Fireworks Painting by this pin from Sweet Frugal Life. This was perfect timing since we are just finishing up our 4th of July Week Theme for our DIY Summer Camp {Camp Mom}. Fireworks Painting with cardboard tubes requires minimal supplies and it great for kids of all ages.

I love how simple this project is! You start by using a cardboard tube. I used a paper towel roll and cut it in half. Then cut thin strips along the bottom of the tube so that you can fan them out.
We used white paper so I chose to do red and blue paint. I squirted the paint onto paper plates and let them use one tube for each color. They did a great job stamping the firework prints on to the paper. This is such a great craft for preschoolers and older kids.
Once they were finished painting, I let them squirt some glitter glue onto their prints. Bringing out the glitter glue is always fun and a hit with the kids!
I was really impressed with how beautiful these turned out. This would be a great craft for Memorial Day, Labor Day or 4th of July!
