Supplies for Fork Painting Fireworks
The best part of this art activity is that you only need a couple of supplies! Paint and a plastic fork are the main supplies required.
Here is a detailed list of all the supplies we used for this easy project!
- Blue Acrylic Paint
- Red Acrylic Paint
- Gold Metallic Acrylic Paint
- Plastic Fork
- White Cardstock
- Paper Plate
The colors listed are what we used but feel free to use what you already have! This does not have to be a patriotic craft. So you could use a variety of different colors to create your own fireworks art.
How to do Fork Painted Fireworks Art
Once all the supplies are gathered, squirt some of each paint color onto the paper plate. Then dip the fork into the paint. You may need to rock the fork back and forth into the paint to make sure all the prongs are covered in paint.
Then place the fork onto the paper to start painting your fireworks. We slid the fork back a little and continued with the same color in a circular pattern. Some of the fireworks we created are only one color. Our favorites turned out to be the ones that used all the colors!
We loved how the gold metallic paint turned out on this fireworks painting project. To make your art even more sparkly, add glitter glue or use glitter paint!
This is such a fun and simple activity for the 4th of July! We also have enjoyed salt painting fireworks and painting fireworks with a cardboard tube.
