Looking for a way to spread some Holiday Cheer this month? Happy mail is a great way to spread joy and stay in touch with friends and family members. Today we’re sharing Easy Christmas Cards for Kids to Make. This is a great way to get the kids involved and have fun crafting together.

We had made a few of these Christmas Cards and then had the opportunity to make even more with our Girl Scout Troop. Another mom in the organization was collecting cards for her son’s military troop. I had all the supplies for these easy cards so the girls were excited to jump in and create cards for this cause!

If you are interested in making Christmas Cards for Troops, there are a few organizations you can partner with. USASOA collects cards and care packages to send to deployed troops.

This post does include affiliate links. That means I could earn a tiny portion of any sale that is made through clicking on any of these products with no additional cost to you. All support is greatly appreciated!

Create a Christmas Character Stickers

These Create A Christmas Character Stickers are so much fun! The girls had a blast playing with all the designs that come in this sticker pack. I also purchased the Merry Christmas sentiment stickers to go along with these to make it even easier to create the cards.

In addition to the stickers, you will also need blank card bases or you can make the card bases from cardstock or construction paper. We used plain white card bases and also a holiday collection I had on hand. The cards we used were 4×6 but you could also use a 5×7 card base to have more room for the kids to decorate.

Once you have all your supplies, it’s time for the fun part! Let the kids pick their favorite Christmas character sticker sheet to build on the front of the card base. This could take up the entire front of the card or there may be room for the Merry Christmas sentiment sticker.

Since we were creating cards for the military troop, the girls also wrote encouraging messages on the inside of the cards. They also used crayons and markers to draw pictures and write notes. This is such a simple idea but a fun way for kids to create their own cards for friends, family, and teachers.

These cards were so much fun for the girls to make! We have made similar cards for Thanksgiving using Make a Turkey stickers. Those turned out really cute too!

For another Christmas card idea for kids to make, check out our Tape Resist Christmas Cards using Kwik Stix paint sticks. Those are also really easy and mess free! We have also made Paper Strips Snowflake Cards that are the perfect winter card craft.
