Welcome to the Close to My Heart Dreamin Big Blog Hop! If you came from Danielle Tague DeNise’s blog you are in the right spot! If you have jumped here and just discovered our blog hop, feel free to check the list at Damask Divas blog to find the complete list of blog hop participants. After you check out my post please hop on over to jd designs for more inspiration!

Scrapbooking has always been one of my favorite hobbies but I just can’t seem to find the time! I probably have 10 years worth of photos that need a home. I have considered just slipping them all into albums and calling it a day. Then I happen to look through scrapbooks that I have completed and I just enjoy looking at them so much that I can’t give it up, especially now that I have children. We all know having children means less time for our personal hobbies. We also know that having children creates so many wonderful memories and beautiful photographs that you want to cherish forever.

Last month, Close to My Heart was offering an unbelievable promotion for prior consultants to join again. I thought I’ll give it a try and I have nothing to lose. As I was looking through the catalog they sent me, I came across the Workshop Your Way Scrapbooking Kits. I love kits mainly because all of the products coordinate and it makes it easier to create. This time I thought maybe I should actually try following the guide and see how it goes. When I heard about the Dreamin’ Big Blog Hop, I decided to make the commitment to give it a shot. My kit arrived Monday night. I went online and downloaded the instruction guide. Using the online cutting guide and my paper trimmer, I cut all the paper I would need to make three double page layouts. Then I sorted the pieces and assembled the layouts per the guide without taping them down. This really only took about an hour!

On Tuesday night, I did the hard part. I picked out which pictures I wanted to use and tweaked my layouts to fit those pictures. I tend to use a lot of pictures in my layouts so I had to adjust them a little. I still have journaling to do, but here is what I came up with:

I am so excited about these kits and can’t wait to try more!

Thank you for visiting me at Glitter On A Dime and for hopping with us on the Close to My Heart Dreamin Big Blog Hop!  Next up on the hop is jd designs. I hope you’ll hop on over to her blog for more inspiration!
