Lift-the-flap Books for Toddlers
The lift-the-flap books are our favorites. The nice sturdy flaps make it easy for babies and toddlers to stay engaged. The pictures are bright and colorful and something about the characters draw the babies and toddlers in.
These books come in so many varieties that teach seasons, holidays, and even manners! My all time favorite has to be Princess Baby. I think that is because we have a princess baby at our house!
The picture below shows all the books in our home collection but we have read way more. Our local library has a wonderful selection so we borrow a few of them every time we visit. I try to rotate books seasonally in our reading nook.
In addition to all the wonderful Karen Katz books, some of our favorite Life-the-Flap Books are Dear Zoo!, Open the Barn Door, and all the Fisher Price Little People Books.
Touch and Feel Board Books for Toddlers
Toddlers also love to touch and feel! That is why the Touch and Feel Board Books are perfect these little ones too. Being able to feel the different textures is amazing for their development. Plus it keeps them engaged in the book.
