It’s Halloween Week so it’s the perfect time to “boo” your friends and neighbors! Find cheap items for a Dollar Tree BOO Basket to give to your neighbors and friends. The BOO Basket is a fun Halloween tradition!
If you aren’t familiar with “boo-ing” your neighbors, let me explain a little. Sometime in October, fill a bag, basket or bucket with Halloween goodies. It can be full of candy or include some other Halloween items. Read below to see the BOO Basket items we found at Dollar Tree.
There are lots of free printable “You’ve Been Boo-ed” signs online. We used this one from Simple Purposeful Living. You will want to include that in the basket. Secretly, leave this BOO Basket on your neighbor’s doorstep.
Once you have been boo-ed, you hang the sign on your door or in your window. Then you “boo” another neighbor or two so that the entire neighborhood can get involved. It is a lot of fun and the kids love it!

Dollar Tree BOO Basket Items
There are SO many items at Dollar Tree that would work for this basket idea! We knew we were planning to “boo” a family that had two elementary aged daughters. We kept that in mind while picking out the items for the bucket.
Here is a list of items we used in our Halloween BOO Bucket. We also found the bucket at Dollar Tree. They have a lot of different options for this!
- Candy (Sour Patch Kids)
- Spider Rings
- Window Stickers for Decorating
- Halloween Themed Water Bottles
- Coloring Craft
- Hanging Skeleton Craft
Dollar Tree has the best selection of holiday themed crafts for kids to do! Last week my daughter painted one of their door hangers to decorate her room. Hopefully her friends enjoy the crafts we picked out for them too!
Dollar Tree Halloween BOO Basket
Putting this BOO bucket together was super fast and easy! First I added gift tissue and a package of decorative shred to the bottom of the Halloween bucket. Then I just arranged the other items on top by putting the largest items in the back.
