If you have little kids, I am sure you are familiar with pouches such as GoGo Squeeze and Mashups. We spend a lot of money on these pouches. We pack them in lunches, carry them to the park, have them on road trips, etc…. The reason we use them so much is that they are so convenient to throw into a bag or cooler and they keep the mess to a minimum.

This post does include affiliate links. That means I could earn a tiny portion of any sale that is made through clicking on any of these products with no additional cost to you. All support is greatly appreciated!

I was at work a few weeks ago when a text came through from my sister-in-law. She was asking me if I had tried the Squooshi Reusable Pouches. She had just gotten some and was telling me how awesome they were. I had always avoided these because I felt like I would need to make my own food to go in them and I wasn’t quite sure how you were to get the substance in that little hole.

She had sent me the link so I thought I would check it out. Duh….you put the food in from the bottom! LOL! There is a zipper pouch to allow you to fill the pouch up from the bottom. After I saw that and realized how stinking cute these were, how could I not give them a shot? They are also dishwasher safe which is a huge selling point for me.

DIY Applesauce and Yogurt Pouches

I decided to start simple. I purchased a large jar of applesauce and a tub of our favorite yogurt. I decided to do three of each.

I opened them all up from the bottom and rinsed them out. Then, I filled them each 3/4 full with either applesauce or yogurt. I wiped off the excess around the zipper and sealed them up. They were ready to go!

Once they were ready, I had my product testers try them out! 🙂 They were a hit!

One more thing that I love about the Squooshi pouches is that the middle is clear so that you can see what is in the pouch. I can easily grab these out of the fridge and see whether it has yogurt or applesauce. I think I’ll try out smoothies next for a quick, on-the-go breakfast!

Love the review. While my kids aren’t huge fans of these I feel like they might be open to using these ones if they could help me fill them. I might just have to grab some =). One question, though: Have you had any issues with the bottom coming open? It’s literally the only thing I can think of that would be a downfall.

Hi Brittany! So glad you enjoyed the review! The zipper on the bottom is actually really strong and heavy duty. I don’t see this being an issue at all.

Welcome!
