October is the perfect time to think about all the fun spider themed crafts! Paper plate crafts are a favorite around here. They are always simple crafts with only a few supplied involved. That’s exactly what I love about this Paper Plate Glitter Spiderweb Craft.

Supplies for Sparkly Paper Plate Spiderweb Craft

Glitter Spiderweb Craft Supplies

This spider web craft only requires three supplies! I found all of these items at Target. You probably already have all of these items at home already.

  • School Glue
  • Paper Plate
  • Glitter Shaker

We used this really fun glitter shaker but any glitter will work! We also added a few foam stickers that we already had but you could also glue on plastic spiders. Those might be easier to find.

Paper Plate Glitter Spiderweb

Start by drawing a spiderweb onto the paper plate using the school glue. This does not need to be perfect. The kids will have all kinds of different designs once they are finished drawing out their spiderwebs with the glue.

Once you have the glue spiderweb complete, shake the glitter onto the glue while it is still wet. You will want to use a lot of glitter and make sure you cover the glue entirely in glitter.

Then you will shake the glitter off the plate onto an empty plate. The glitter should now only be on the glue spiderweb design. You can save the leftover glitter for the next spiderweb or keep it for a different project.

The glue will need to dry for a few hours. You can add spiders to this craft or just keep it as the webs. They turn out so pretty and sparkly!

This is such a fun craft for kids of all ages. For more spider craft ideas check out our Washi Tape Spider Craft and our Watercolor Resist Spiderweb Art.
