School is out for summer!!! Graylie came home with the cutest end of year gift from her class room mom. It was an Ice Cream in a Bag Kit that included the recipe and all the supplies to make it. What a fun idea!
This DIY kit was perfect for an end of year gift but it would also be fun for other things. You could make it as a party favor for any summer party. It would also be cute for an ice cream or science themed birthday party.

DIY Ice Cream in a Bag Kit
So what comes inside a DIY Ice Cream in a Bag Kit? To make the kit, use a party favor box to hold the kit supplies. Inside the box, include a spoon, ice cream cup, toppings of your choice, rock salt, and a copy of the recipe. See below for a printable copy of this recipe.

Here is a list of supplies used for these Ice Cream in a Bag kits.
- Party Favor Boxes
- Spoons
- Rock Salt
- Paper Ice Cream Cups
- Rainbow Sprinkles
- Gummy Bears
- Gallon Size Resealable Bags
- Quart Size Resealable Bags
- Condiment Cups
Once you assemble all of the supplies into the party box, you can decorate the box with a cute label or tag. Here is a template I created in case you need one.

Ice Cream in a Bag Recipe
We have actually made Ice Cream in a Bag before. It was one of the best activities during Science Week of our DIY Summer Camp a couple of years ago. If you need a printable recipe, I have included that below.

The hardest part of this recipe experiment is shaking the bag! The results are definitely worth it though. We were so proud of our ice cream and it tasted delicious.

I will definitely be using this idea in the future for possible party favors! My daughter came home so excited about this kit. We can’t wait to make this recipe again.

This was such a fun idea that I had to share it with you! I hope you try making Ice Cream in a Bag with your kids this summer!
