Anyone else still have loads of Halloween Candy around?!  Everyone was extra generous this year so we have an abundance of candy. We decided to use some of ours to make Halloween Candy Brownies!

Leftover Halloween Candy Recipe

I love the brownie pouch mixes from Betty Crocker to bake with the kids. Each kid can make their own brownie batter because we need two for this recipe! My two often argue over who gets to help mix so this is a great solution.

During the holidays we love to make an easy Almond Toffee Brownie Recipe. These brownies are very similar to those and actually gave me the idea to try this.

I hadn’t planned on cutting the candy into pieces for this brownie recipe but Graylie thought it would be a good idea. She used a kid-safe knife to cut the candy into smaller pieces.

Brownie Recipe for Kids

Ingredients for Candy Brownies

To get started we will need the following ingredients.

  • Two 10.25 oz Pouches of Brownie Mix (plus the ingredients to prepare the mix)
  • Variety of Halloween Candy (Chocolate Preferred)

The first step for making these brownies is to prepare one of the mixes. You will also need oil, eggs, and water. Then pour the prepared mix into a greased 9 X 13 baking pan.

Once the batter is spread evenly in the pan, gently sprinkle the candy pieces on top of the batter.

Now it is time to prepare the second brownie mix. Once the mix is ready, pour it over the Halloween Candy Pieces as evenly as possible. Then sprinkle with more candy such as M&M’S Chocolate Candies or Reese’s Pieces.

Finally it’s time for the brownies to go into the oven! Bake them at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted 2 inches from side of pan comes out almost clean. Let the brownies cool for about one hour before trying to cut them. This might be the hardest part of the entire recipe!
