Summer is coming and the kids will have a lot more time on their hands! So I thought I would share this cute activity kit we were playing with a few weeks ago. This Big Gem Diamond Painting Craft Kit has everything to create 12 sparkly stickers and 2 suncatchers.
We actually received this kit as a birthday gift! It is recommended for ages 6 to 96. I would agree with this wide age range since I know I had fun helping with these whimsical creations.

How do they create the diamond art stickers?
Once you are ready to create, find a good space for them to work on their creations. We worked on this for a few days on and off. So I thought it was best to do this in a space that we wouldn’t need to use again right away.
To create the sticker art, use the diamond painting stylus. Put a little bit of the wax on the end of the stylus. Next use it to pick up the gems and place them on the stickers. This activity is great for fine motor skills.
Each sticker gives you a guide for which colors to use. She did mix things up occasionally and went with her own color scheme.
The gem tray is really handy. Having the gems in the little tray keeps them from falling off the table. It also makes it easy to slip everything into a resealable bag if you need to pick up and continue the craft at a later time.

The stickers turned out adorable! There are so many ways you can use these stickers. You can dress up a gift bag or a notebook. We actually cut out each sticker square. Then she was able to give these stickers to friends along with a note or drawing.
This summer would be the perfect time to share the stickers this way. They can be pen pals with friends from school and send these stickers to brighten their day. It is a fun way to keep up their writing skills too!
