I am almost embarrassed to share this recipe because it is so easy! I feel like I should because it definitely comes in handy for a busy family. If you are trying to find something simple to cook to avoid heading through the drive-thru, then this Slow Cooker Hawaiian Chicken recipe is for you. It only requires four ingredients and a Crock Pot! 🙂
Here are the ingredients you will need:
- 1 – 1.5 lbs of chicken breasts or chicken breast tenderloins
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1 20 oz. can of diced pineapple
Place the chicken in the crock pot and pour the pineapple on top. Mix the brown sugar and soy sauce together and pour that in.
Cook on low for 6 – 8 hours or on high for 4 – 6 hours.
Serve this over rice or pasta with a salad or green beans and dinner is served!
To make it even easier, serve the chicken over the Steamfresh Whole Grain Brown Rice. It cooks in 4 minutes so you could literally have dinner on the table in less than 5 minutes if you had a salad already prepared.
Be sure to let me know if you try it! I’d also love to hear any tips anyone else has for busy weeknight dinners!
