As I mentioned last month, I have challenged myself to scrapbook every month. My goal is to complete three double page layouts using the Workshop Your Way Scrapbooking Kits by Close to My Heart. I could not meet this challenge without the help of these kits. They keep me focused on what I am working on and give me a starting point. Once I choose a kit, I decide what kind of pictures I want to use. Since I have several years of pictures to do this has not been a problem. (more…)

Last month I participated in a blog hop where I tried using one of the Workshop Your Way Scrapbooking Kits from Close to My Heart. I enjoyed that so much that I challenged myself to try another one and share it with you this month. I chose the Some Kinda Wonderful line this time. This is the last month this kit will be available. There is a whole new line coming out in May and I am super excited about those too! (more…)
Do you have leftover valentine cards hanging around in a closet or a drawer? If you are like us, we never use a whole box and then I hate to throw the rest away. This year I decided to re-purpose them into cupcake toppers. (more…)

Last week I was in Michaels getting the supplies for this project. We enjoyed the rock painting so much, I though it would be fun to do a painting project outside again this weekend. For the past couple of weeks we have had beautiful spring days and I was itching to get outside and enjoy it. Well, the weekend was not as warm and beautiful. I did not let it ruin our plans though. We just had to improvise and set up at the kitchen table. We laid out newspaper over the table and painted away! This project is so much fun and makes a great decoration for a playroom or child’s bedroom. (more…)

Graylie’s preschool is in the middle of hosting an art auction. I had seen the flyers on the doors and read the emails. I really didn’t know what it was all about. On Monday afternoon when I went to pick her up, all the art was displayed in the lobby. Each classroom was responsible for creating a piece of artwork that would be bid on throughout the week. I have to say I was very impressed! All of the proceeds are going to the charity, Bright Blessings. I loved this idea so much I wanted to share it with you! Here are some pictures of the artwork that was created.

If you are already a paper crafter, you probably have everything you need including a stash of paper to choose from. I had picked my paper pack up a few years ago in the Target Dollar Spot. It was after the holiday, so I think it may have cost me fifty cents! (more…)
